NOTICE (July 20, 2016): Fire Season Restrictions for 2016 go into effect on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1 a.m. A complete list of all restrictions and regulations can be found here. Updates will be posted to this release throughout the season as necessary.

ALERT (October
 20, 2015): Fire Season is over for 2015. Open Burning and Burn Barrels still require a permit within our District. Permits are free of charge, valid for each calendar year and may be obtained at our Fire Station. 
As a reminder burning is only allowed during daylight hours and you must call Seaside Dispatch each day you plan to burn to activate your permit for that day. 

September 21, 2015: Summer must be coming to an end. Today the Lifeguard Tower and Semaphores were removed from the beach for winter Storage. As winter approaches please remember that even distant storms can cause higher than expected surf which can also bring in debris. If you are walking along the water never turn your back to the waves, if you are going to enjoy the water, make sure someone knows where your going, an expected time back, and have equipment that prepares you for the cold water. 


ALERT (September 2, 2015): Effective 1am September 3, 2015 Fire restrictions will be relaxed. Burning allowed in barrels daylight to 10am only, Permits required. 
Recreational fires are allowed at, designated campsites and personal residences. For the full list of information stop by the Fire Station or click on the "Burning" Tab  .

ALERT (August 31, 2015): Effective immediately Lewis & Clark Timberlands are once again open for daylight, walk-in recreational access.

August 24, 2015. Clatsop County Taskforce 3 prepares to demobilize from the Grizzly Bear Complex Fire. Units mobilized and left Thursday Aug. 20.
The Oregon State Fire Marshal deploys structural resources from around the state to mitigate and defend structures threatened by wildlfire when local resources have been taxed out and request assistance.
